Nope, definitely not.
My dad majored in Philosophy and is now a big entertainment lawyer.
Political Science is not even necessarily the best major to have if you want to go into law school. English and Philosophy are popular majors for those who want to go to law school and be a lawyer. Political Science is pretty good–same with Politics and International Relations or even Economics/Business.
